CAFT (Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade) ci informa di un'altra vittoria contro l'industria della pelliccia.
L'azienda americana di abbigliamento GUESS diventera' completamente fur-free dalla fine della prossima stagione autunno-inverno, ovvero da aprile 2008.
La comunicazione dell'azienda e' un altro grande traguardo degli attivisti che negli scorsi mesi hanno tenuto proteste internazionali davanti ai suoi punti vendita in Inghilterra, America, Olanda, Svezia, Irlanda, Canada, Russia e Italia. La scelta di GUESS segue quella di molti marchi che trainano la moda internazionale.
La campagna AIP ha preso parte alla campagna contro GUESS organizzando due giornate di protesta a distanza di un mese, in cui i negozi di Torino, Milano e Bologna e gli uffici europei di GUESS a Firenze hanno visto molti manifestanti davanti alle proprie porte.
Purtroppo GUESS continuera' a vendere prodotti con inserti in pelliccia anche questo inverno.
Fermare l'industria della pelliccia che ogni anno tortura ed uccide milioni di animali in nome del lusso e dell'apparenza e' possibile, e dobbiamo farlo.

Formed in 1997, CAFT-UK has helped regenerate the grass-roots campaign against the fur trade in Britain.
Through investigations, education, campaigns and demonstrations we have exposed the horror of the fur trade and helped establish and continue anti-fur actions across Britain. We have filmed undercover in fur farms, lobbied for a ban on fur farming and persuaded dozens of shops to stop selling real fur.
We also work with anti-fur groups across the world. The fur industry is a global one so our fight against it should work on an international level too.
